We are excited to share the winners of the 2024 Live Like Lucas Scholarships! Three outstanding high school graduates
will each receive a $1,000 scholarship for their remarkable support and contributions to the special needs community.
We are deeply grateful for their dedication and leadership and are honored to support their future endeavors through
these scholarships. Here are the winners:

Annie Cipolla. Annie, affectionately known as “Moby” by Lucas, is graduating from A&M Consolidated in College
Station, Texas and will be attending Texas A&M in the fall. From a young age, she has been actively involved in the
special needs community, volunteering with numerous programs such as Special Buddies (including the Tiger Friends
Club), Challenger Baseball and Partners in PE classes, Annie has also babysat several special needs children, including
Lucas. She and her sister Kensie often included Lucas in various activities, giving him opportunities to experience a
normal childhood and early teenage life. They spent many Sunday afternoons feeding ducks at the pond, eating ice
cream (or whatever Lucas wanted that day) and dancing to Lucas’ favorite songs. Annie’s love for special needs
individuals is evident in everything she does, and she plans to continue working and volunteering in this field. We are
proud to be able to provide her with a Live Like Lucas scholarship! Congratulations Moby!

Abigail Taylor. Abigail is graduating from Katy High School and has been involved in the special needs community for
the past seven years. She has volunteered with numerous clubs and camps for special needs individuals and served as
the president of the Special Buddies program at her high school. Abigail has a true passion for working with special
needs individuals, recognizing the importance of making them feel accepted and included. She plans to attend Blinn
College in the fall to study Special Education. We are confident that Abigail will continue to be a shining star in the field,
and we are honored to award her this scholarship. Congratulations Abigail!

establishing the Best Buddies organization at her school and served as the founding president. Her dedication and
creativity helped build a strong and impactful program. Ashlyn’s genuine love for working with special needs individuals
is evident, and she plans to continue making a positive impact in their lives. She will be attending the University of Texas
at Dallas in the fall. We are delighted to support Ashlyn in pursuing her dreams with this scholarship. Congratulations
